CPD and Testimonials

A professional helping hand
Continual Professional Development
Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), because your animal deserves care that’s current, compassionate, and clinically sound.
As a veterinary physiotherapist, my learning didn’t stop at graduation – in fact, that was just the beginning. I am fully committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) – ongoing learning and skills development that helps me stay at the top of my game and provide the very best care for every animal I treat.
What is CPD?
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development, and it’s a vital part of staying competent, current, and confident in professional practice. Through a wide range of learning opportunities – including courses, conferences, webinars, workshops, and clinical shadowing – I continuously build on my knowledge, refine my techniques, and stay up to date with the latest research in the veterinary and physiotherapy fields.
Why It Matters:
- Animal care is always evolving – New techniques, technologies, and scientific findings are constantly emerging. CPD ensures I’m bringing the most up-to-date and effective treatments to your animal’s session.
- Maintaining registration – In order to remain on professional registers such as RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners), IRVAP (Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists), and IAAT (International Association of Animal Therapists), I must complete a minimum number of CPD hours every year.
- Better outcomes – Staying informed means I can deliver evidence-based, high-quality physiotherapy that is tailored to your animal’s needs and backed by the latest clinical insights.
Widening My Skills: Hydrotherapy Qualification Coming Soon!
To further broaden my skills and offer even more comprehensive care, I’m soon to undertake a canine hydrotherapy course. Once completed, I’ll become a qualified and registered canine hydrotherapist. This additional training will allow me to support dogs through low-impact, water-based rehabilitation, ideal for joint issues, injury recovery, and building strength safely.
By adding hydrotherapy to my toolkit, I’ll be able to reach even more animals and provide truly holistic rehabilitation options — always tailored to the individual.
What CPD Looks Like for Me:
I regularly engage in:
- Specialist physiotherapy courses (canine, equine, neurological, post-operative care, etc.)
- Online and in-person seminars with vets, researchers, and fellow professionals
- Hands-on workshops to develop advanced techniques
- Networking events and peer learning to stay connected within the field
My Promise to You:
I will always invest in my education – not just because I have to, but because I genuinely care. Your animal’s wellbeing means everything to me, and I believe that ongoing learning is essential to giving them the safest, kindest, and most effective care possible.
By choosing a therapist committed to CPD and professional registration, you can feel confident that your animal is in skilled, knowledgeable, and up-to-date hands.
